Mr Ng is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in hand, wrist and peripheral nerve surgery.

His NHS practice is based at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust.

He graduated from the University of Edinburgh as the gold medallist and subsequently completed orthopaedic training in Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. He then spent the following two years pursuing advanced subspecialty training by completing an Upper Limb Fellowship in Wrightington Hospital and a National Interface (Orthoplastic) Hand Fellowship in Manchester. 

He believes in continuing lifelong learning in order to provide the best possible care to his patients. He has travelled to multiple centres of excellence in Europe, North America and Asia to learn from the leading experts in hand and nerve surgery. His pursuits of professional development have been supported by the awards of Zimmer SCOT travelling fellowship, BOA travelling fellowship, FESSH travelling award and BSSH Stack travelling fellowship.

Following his consultant appointment, he has established a new clinical service providing treatment for patients with peripheral nerve injuries. He has also developed particular interests in the management of scapular winging, painful neuroma and scaphoid nonunion.

Mr Ng also maintains a strong interest in research and education. He regularly publishes academic articles in peer-reviewed journals and lectures at national and international scientific meetings. Currently he is the Chair of Training Interface Group (TIG) in Hand Surgery, appointed by the Joint Committee on Surgical Training (JCST).
